Forum notification is not working

I started a discussion yesterday.
When people reply, I got no notification (even in-Forum notification).
As I plan to use Flarum in the future, I want to know is it a bug.(The Flarum do mention it is a beta version and might have bugs.)

I registered with GitHub account. Does that mean I don't get email notification?

Please check whether you've enabled the following under Settings > Notifcation.
My account is also registered with Github and I'm getting notifications here.
