    two types of switch.Manage and Unmanage Switch.Manage switch work at layer 3 because it has many functions(eg.vlan,routing),so you need to configure.This switch useful for enterprise network.Unmanage Switch work at Layer 2 and mostly use for small network(small office and internet shop).This switch don't need to configure.
